Pubs & Bars
The Three Compasses Dalston
London
Hackney's finest. The Three Compasses boasts a bunch of sizeable drop-down projectors ensuring cops a decent eye full of the action. Being East London, the beer's suitably crafty and the crowd's a bit more relaxed than you might find elsewhere. That said, it still packs a belting atmosphere when full. Well worth a visit.
Greenwood
London
Tucked away by Victoria station, Greenwood is a life saver for any poor soul with a train to catch. That said, even if you're not waiting for transport, the Greenwood is well worth a visit west for a game - it really is that good. A heap of screens, epic food, some seriously plush decor and freshly brewed beer from Long Arm brewery make this a real winner.
The Kings Sports Bar
London
It turns out Carlsberg do Sports bars...and they are pretty bloody fantastic. To be found in the Empire Casino on Leicester Square, this is well worth a visit even if you're not living close. With free entry, all of the beers and a 'make your own burger' facility it basically covers all your needs. It goes without saying that they show sport on TV.
Rileys Sports Bar Haymarket
London
London's biggest sports bar boasts all the facilities you would expect from a venue this size. 35 screens dot the 600 capacity pub alongside English and American pool tables, foosball, and a particularly fun and riotous atmosphere during the big games. To add to the structure of the place; Riley's serves up some good, honest, great value food (enormous portions for under a tenner) and there are few faults to be found with the burgers and onion rings if you're tempted.
Bar Kick
London
The best sports bar in East London has a distinctly continental feel to it. As a result, an eclectic and international crowd regularly flock here for the big games. Why? Massive screens, a cracking atmosphere, and enough table football tables to host an international tournament. The place to be in East London on a big Champions League night.
Alexandra
London
Not a single fault to find with this old and beautiful pub on Clapham Common which is known to be a bit of a haunt for supporters of all things Irish. Little to elaborate when it comes to the 2 HD projectors and 4 plasma screens across 2 floors; the pub also has a heated beer garden, table tennis tables, and foosball to keep you entertained pre-game, post-game, and half-time. Always a cracking atmosphere during the footy or rugger and if you're planning to spend an evening; the pizzas are top-notch.
Long Arm Pub and Brewery
London
The place to go for sports fans serious about their beer. All their delicious pints are brewed on site and their two huge projector screens mean a belting atmosphere when it fills up post work.
Euston Flyer
London
Definitely the most traditional of the best sports pubs in London, the Flyer is a Fuller's pub, so good ale is a prerequisite. Perhaps surprisingly for such a large pub, the food is tip-tip with the pies a big hit. Located between Euston and King's Cross, it's the perfect spot to catch sport on the big screen before running off to catch a train.
Belushis and The Dugout
London
Belushis in London Bridge have re-branded their sports offering and have created 'The Dugout'. Down in their basement they've curated any sports fan's dream with a themed American sports bar littered with screens (17!), table fussball, beer pong, all the sharing platters your belly could desire etc etc. The Dugout's real x-factor comes in their unique position to screen sport and serve drinks late into the night and early in the morning, making this a must for people looking to watch US/Australasian sports.
Angel Oak
London
The Angel Oak hits all the right notes when it comes to enjoying sport. With big screens inside, it really comes into its own in the summer when a big projector goes up its massive beer garden.
Crabtree
London
If you're in West London and have watching sport on the agenda, look no further than The Crabtree. Situated right on the banks of the river Thames, it's one of the most picturesque places in the whole city. If the sun's shining down, make this a place to visit - it's multiple screens and great food & drink won't disappoint.
Clissold Park Tavern
London
An awesome new venue that overlooks the dreamy Clissold Park. Expect the very finest pizzas London has to offer, footy on the big screens and a beer garden that's up there with the best we've come across in Zone 2.
World's End
London
A north London stalwart, the World's End made its name quickly as one of the best pubs for sport around. A massive projector covers one wall, while a multitude of big screens covers the rest. For a top-notch atmosphere, there's really no place better.
O'Neills
London
Spacious sports pub just off Carnaby Street in central London. Expect plenty of Guinness, live games on TV and a hearty welcome whenever you pop in.
The Richmond
London
Over 100 years old, this traditional London boozer is well loved by locals and visitors alike. They've got benches outside for summer, pool tables and a mini library inside for when it gets chillier plus heaps of screens showing all the best BT and Sky Sports action live.
The Court
London
A student friendly pub in the heart of central London, the Court is known for it's great value drinks and lively atmosphere. Shows all the major games on its multiple screens and that's always popular with the after work crowd.
The Thirsty Bear
London
8 screens and tables with beer pumps installed on them means the ultimate in viewing experiences. The Thirsty Bear have made the half time queue for a drink a thing of history. What a time to be alive.
Ryan's N16
London
Exceptional sports bar in leafy Stoke Newington. Boasts a glorious patio area blessed with multiple outdoor screens, there are few better places to catch a game when the sun's shining. A cracking array of craft beers and a friendly welcome make this a huge favourite locally.
Redwood
London
Welcome to London's newest and nicest sports bar. Opened in November 2019 to become London Bridge's premier sports bar, you're unlikely to enter a slicker establishment. With screens coming out of their ears, including a gigantic multi-panel TV upstairs, you can't fail to get a good view of the match. You really have to see the magic to believe it.
Cricketers
London
One of the oldest pubs in Richmond, The Cricketers has become a cult location for rugby fans given it's close proximity to Twickenham. Perfect for pre and post meet ups, it's a fantastic place to watch all sports, washed down with some fantastic beer options.
Hemingford Arms
London
A nice cosy bolt hole to kick back and watch the match in comfort. Generates a particularly special atmosphere for rugby matches and the kitchen serves up some of the most authentic Thai food in London.
Railway
London
A strong contender for the best sports bar in North London. If you've found yourself at a loose end because you can't decide which massive game to watch, head down to this pub and they will likely be showing both on different screens. A winner in anyone's book.
Flat Iron Square
London
Watch every scintillating moment of the Guinness Six Nations at the best sports venue in South London. Kitted out by Guinness it gives a nod to all six of the participating nations and is the place to be if you're seriously into your rugger.
Big Penny Social
London
Trueman's have been at the heart of East London life for hundreds of years and this awesome community venue continues that spirit proudly. Expect cracking brews on tap, beerhall-style seating and a couple of whopping great big projectors to watch the action on.
Pavilion End
London
So much more than the best place to watch cricket on TV in the City, the Pavilion End is a fine spot to watch any major action. Heaps of screens, excellent Fullers beer and pub favourites on the menu get the job done. Free wifi, decent tea and coffee, plus plenty of provisions for dogs, mean there are worse places to work from during the day with the Test match on in the background.
