Find Pubs Showing World Cup 2026 Matches in Birmingham

FANZO lists every confirmed pub in Birmingham showing World Cup 2026 matches. Search by fixture, filter by area or features like beer gardens and outdoor screens, and see which venues have seats left. No guesswork, no phone calls. Pick your match, pick your pub, and you're sorted.

Birmingham Neighbourhoods for the World Cup

Not every part of Birmingham gives you the same match-day experience. Here is a quick breakdown so you can pick the right area for your group.

Area Vibe Best for
Broad Street 30+ venues, big screens, one long party on England nights. Chain sports pubs, loud crowds, queues at the door if you have not booked. Pure volume and atmosphere. The go-to strip for anyone who wants to be in the thick of it.
Brindleyplace A short walk off Broad Street but noticeably calmer. Canalside terraces, smart-casual crowd, the kind of place where you can actually hear your mates at half-time. 5pm kick-offs in the sun, couples, post-work pints.
Digbeth Creative quarter. Independent pubs, street food stalls on big match nights, some venues running dedicated outdoor fan zones with giant screens. Craft beer fans, genuine football atmosphere without the Broad Street chaos.
Jewellery Quarter Rooftop terraces, smaller venues, strong craft beer scene. Fewer screens per square metre than Broad Street, but loyal local crowds. Afternoon kick-offs when the terraces catch the sun. Trendy, relaxed.
Moseley Village feel south of the city centre. Laid-back, community-driven locals. Not the place for a 500-person fan zone. A relaxed pint with the game on, group stage without the city centre rush.
Near Villa Park (Aston) Proper football heartland. Local pubs that fill up fast on any match day, packed with supporters who live and breathe the game. Raw, no-frills football atmosphere. The real deal.

Broad Street is the obvious starting point for sheer volume. Step one street over to Brindleyplace and you trade noise for canalside calm with the same football on screen. Digbeth rewards the walk: the creative quarter vibe makes it feel less corporate, and the outdoor setups during the tournament are worth checking out. Moseley is a proper village pub experience, about 20 minutes by bus from the city centre.

Kick-off Times and TV Coverage

Every single match of the 2026 World Cup will be broadcast free-to-air in the UK. BBC and ITV share all 104 games between them. No subscription, no paywall. Walk into any pub with a TV licence and the football is on.

Because the tournament takes place in the USA, Canada and Mexico, kick-off times sit comfortably in UK hours. The main slots are:

  • 2pm BST, lunchtime sessions, perfect for half-days off work
  • 5pm BST, the classic after-work pint and a match
  • 8pm BST, prime-time evening viewing

A handful of later-round fixtures on the US West Coast may kick off at 10pm or 1am BST. Most Birmingham pubs on Broad Street and in the city centre hold late licences, so those games are covered too.

England group stage fixtures:

  • England vs Croatia, 17 June, 8pm BST
  • England vs Algeria, 22 June
  • England vs Jordan, 26 June

The Croatia opener will be the biggest pub night of the summer. Get your name on a list early. You can browse pubs showing World Cup 2026 across the UK or jump straight to pubs showing England matches to find confirmed venues near you.

Booking and Matchday Tips

For England games, book at least two weeks in advance. The group-stage opener against Croatia (17 June, 8pm) will sell out at every decent pub in the city. Knockout rounds are the same story. Don't leave it to the day.

For neutral fixtures (Brazil vs Japan at 2pm on a weekday, say), you can almost certainly walk in. Those midweek afternoons are honestly some of the best pub experiences of any World Cup. No pressure, no tribalism, just good football and a cold pint. Take a half-day off work. You won't regret it.

A few practical things to keep in mind:

  • Arrive 60-90 minutes early for any England match. Tables go fast, especially on Broad Street.
  • Check FANZO for live availability. Venues update their listings in real time, so you'll know which pubs still have space.
  • Eat before the big games. Some pubs stop food service when the crowds get thick. Or pick a venue with table service sorted.
  • Designated drivers: the alcohol-free range at most Brum pubs has come a long way. You won't be stuck with tap water.
