Tamworth is one heck of a place to watch sport. For a relatively small town, there is absolutely loads of sport going on so, naturally, it’s quite a breeding ground for sportspeople, in particular footballers. The list is extensive with the likes of Paul Merson, Ashley Williams and Marc Albrighton all calling this place home once upon a time before going onto hugely successful football careers. Since 1933, Tamworth FC have been keeping locals entertained with some delightful non-league football. But that doesn’t stop them packing into the pubs to watch their former townsfolk playing (or talking) football on T.V.
