Whitwood Golf Club Bar

Whitwood Golf Club, near Castleford, was constructed on the old Whitwood Colliery site and opened for business in June 1987. In May 2016 the course opened a newly designed 9 hole Footgolf Course to further increase the different options available at the club. The golf course is built on undulating ground and has had new tees built over it during winter 2018. It is now a Par 70 with 6,099 yards and suitable for players of all abilities. The course also has strategic fairways and well positioned greens; it presents an enjoyable setup whether you're a low handicap or beginner. We also have a 9 hole footgolf course, the first of its kind in Wakefield. There's no need for special equipment or clothing – simply bring your trainers and play! The clubhouse at Whitwood provides a warm and relaxing atmosphere to all visitors and members. From fresh bean coffee to a cold pint of larger, we have something for everyone, and also serve snacks throughout the day. The club is very happy to welcome both individuals and groups. The clubhouse offers something for everybody, so you don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy the clubhouse!
