Cottage Of Content

The Cottage of Content is a traditional two roomed community pub situated in a prominent location on cross-roads, junction of the B6089 and B6097. The decor is traditional and welcoming with one room sports a pool table and is popular with local sports teams. One of the more quaintly named pubs in the area, the Cottage was once an outlet for locally brewed Whitworth's beers. Sadly, it no longer sells real ale. Recently acquired by Stonegate Pub Partners, in 2022, who are seeking new tenants. Although primarily a community local, it can attract passing trade from other areas, being situated on a busy route between Rotherham and Barnsley.
