The George
1/1
About this venue
The George is an 18th-century, Grade II listed pub on Great Portland Street in Fitzrovia. Across two floors, we offer a food and drink menu befitting of a modern London public house. If pubs could talk, this one would have a lot to say. Once a central hub for the political, cultural and social movements of the late 18th century, later home to writers and poets in the 20th century, and more recently a favourite haunt of locals and travellers alike, The George has seen it all. Today, you’ll find live sport, great Guinness, Irish whiskey and Irish coffees, alongside cask ales, craft beers, seasonal cocktails, an extensive wine list and food served all day.
