Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Rail Media Inc. ("Rail Media," "we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on www.fanzo.com, on our other domains, and in the FANZO mobile application (together, the "Services"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
Rail Media Inc. is a Delaware corporation with a mailing address at P.O. Box 575, Monson, MA 01057, United States. Rail Media Inc. operates the FANZO-branded Services and is the entity that bills our customers in the United States. Rail Media Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of FANZO Inc., a Delaware corporation, which is itself part of a corporate group whose ultimate parent is organized under the laws of England and Wales.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, phone, or other device when you visit a website or use an app. They allow the site to recognize you across pages and over time, remember your preferences, and collect information about how you use the service. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs), and local storage; we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy unless we say otherwise.
How we use cookies and your choices
We use cookies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, measure and improve performance, and deliver advertising that is more relevant to you. Our Services display a cookie notice that describes these uses and provides controls for non-essential cookies. You can change your choices at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in our footer, by adjusting your browser settings, or by following the opt-out instructions in the "How to control cookies" section below.
Your choices apply to the device and browser you make them on. If you use multiple devices or browsers, or clear your cookies, you may need to make your choices again.
Categories of cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary. Required to deliver the Services you have asked for, including keeping you signed in, remembering items in a form, ensuring you are not treated as a new visitor on every page, and protecting the security of the site. These cannot be turned off in our cookie preferences tool.
2. Performance and analytics. Help us understand how visitors use the Services — for example, which pages are most visited — so we can improve the experience. Examples include Google Analytics cookies. You can opt out of these at any time using our cookie preferences tool.
3. Functionality. Remember choices you make — such as language or region — to personalize your experience. You can opt out of these at any time using our cookie preferences tool.
4. Targeting and advertising. Record your visit to the Services and the links you click and may be used by us and our advertising partners to deliver ads that are more relevant to you on other sites, and to measure ad performance. Examples include Meta Pixel and Google Ads remarketing cookies. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"), and similar state laws, our use of these cookies may qualify as the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. See "Your rights under U.S. state privacy laws" below for how to opt out.
Cookies currently used on our Services
The list below shows the main cookies we use. From time to time, we add or remove cookies; this list is kept under review.
- JSESSIONID (strictly necessary, session): preserves your signed-in state across pages in a single session. Expires when the session ends.
- _ga (analytics): Google Analytics unique user identifier. Expires 24 months after the most recent session.
- _gid (analytics): Google Analytics user distinguisher. Expires after 24 hours.
- _gat (analytics): Google Analytics request-rate limiter. Expires after 1 minute.
- _fbp (targeting): Meta Pixel cookie used to deliver advertising to people who have visited the Services when they are on Meta-powered services. Expires at the end of the session or after 2 hours of inactivity.
- ADS / GA-AUDIENCES (targeting): enables Google Ads remarketing. Expires at the end of the session.
Third-party cookies
First-party cookies are set by the Services you are visiting. Third-party cookies are set by other services embedded in or linked from our Services (for example, an embedded YouTube video, a Meta Pixel, or a Google Ads tag). Third parties may use cookies to track you across websites that use the same third-party service; their use of your information is governed by their own privacy notices.
Where we run promotions with brand partners, partner pixels may be placed on relevant pages for the purpose of measuring and re-targeting. Partner privacy notices will be linked alongside the relevant promotion.
Your rights under U.S. state privacy laws
If you are a California resident, or a resident of another U.S. state that provides a right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (including, for example, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and Oregon), you have the right to opt out of the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising that occurs through our targeting and advertising cookies.
You can exercise that right in any of the following ways:
- Using our on-site "Cookie Preferences" tool (link in the footer) and turning off targeting and advertising cookies.
- Enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in a supported browser or extension. We treat a GPC signal received from your browser as a request to opt out of the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising for that browser and device.
- Emailing [email protected] with your request.
Rail Media Inc. does not sell personal information for money, and does not use or disclose "sensitive personal information" (as that term is defined under the CCPA) for purposes that would trigger the right to limit under the CCPA. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of any individual we know to be under 16 years of age.
You also have the broader privacy rights described in our Privacy Policy, including the rights to access, delete, correct, and obtain a copy of your personal information. Those rights and how to exercise them are explained in the "Your Privacy Rights" and "Notice to California Residents" sections of our Privacy Policy.
How to control cookies
You can also manage cookies by:
- Adjusting the settings of your browser to block or delete cookies (see the "Help" menu of your browser for instructions).

- Opting out of interest-based advertising from participating advertisers via https://adssettings.google.com, the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page at https://optout.aboutads.info, or the Network Advertising Initiative at https://optout.networkadvertising.org.
If you block or delete strictly-necessary cookies, parts of the Services may not work properly.
Children
Our Services are directed to users 18 years of age or older and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly use cookies or similar technologies to collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of any individual we know to be under 16.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated policy on our Services and, where appropriate, by refreshing the cookie notice so you can review your choices. The "Last Updated" date below will always reflect the most recent version.
