The Lions tour will take place between the 3rd of July and 7th August 2021. It will the first tour there since the legendary 2009 tour when the Springboks claimed a 1-2 victory.

How Many Games Will The Lions Play?
The British and Irish Lions are scheduled to play 8 games in South Africa - 5 tour games and 3 Test matches. This year there is an additional warm-up game before they leave the British Isles. They will face Japan in Edinburgh on the 26th of June.

The Lions are playing the three South African Super Rugby franchises - the Stormers, Sharks, and Bulls - as well as a South Africa Invitational side (The South African Barbarians) and the South Africa A (otherwise known as the Emerging Springboks).
