Massimo bar was named after a hamster and opened its doors in 2001. Unfortunately, the hamster is no longer with us but the bar is bigger and brighter than ever. Never one to follow the traditional concept of what a Galway pub should be, a renovation in 2016 continued to see contemporary design compliment what the regulars love about the place. By night, Massimo comes alive, refusing to let The West End party finish with bars that serve late at the weekend, live music on Sundays. Ken's carefully curated whiskey and gin collections are about quality rather than quantity and the wine list is worth the visit to the bar alone. Open 7 days. Mon to Fri from 3pm.
