"Downeys is a family run business where alot of the old Guinness brewery workers drink and claim it to be the best pint of Guinness in the country. It has a great reputation for friendly staff and customers alike. Many locals claim it to be the best pub in Ballyfermot. Finbar Furey drinks here when he is back in Ballyfermot. Many talented artists have come through here like Mary Byrne, Christy moore and the Dubliners. Every Thursday Downeys holds the best ballad session in the country with musicians coming from all over to join in."
