Leyton Star

About this venue
The Leyton Star, formerly The King Harold pub, opened on 21st July 2016. The venue has been fully rejuvenated with the Electric Star group's signature brand of community hangouts packed with personality, and bursting with great food, cracking booze and genuinely lovely staff. The Leyton Star offers a number of weekly promotions including Thursday night's 'two for £12' cocktail offer as well as 'Margarita Mondays', in addition to housing a great selection of wines, kegs, cask ales and lagers. We have quizzes, DJs, sports screenings and everyone's favourite Lucky Voice Karaoke upstairs. When the sun is shining its £6 Aperol spritzes every Friday until 7pm! Hackney-based artist Lady Ray added her creative flair to the interior, having previously worked her magic on the decor of both The Star by Hackney Downs and The Jackdaw and Star. A mix of the classic and contemporary, the main bar has been painstakingly resurrected, quite literally returning from the ashes after having been ripped out and dumped in the cellar. The space has been completely redesigned with brand spanking new carpets and banquettes, stylishly surreal wallpaper by Timouros Beasties adorning the walls and a re-commissioned fireplace. The sprawling outdoor terrace at the rear is decked out with two golden palm tree light fixtures used as part of a set design used on Paloma Faith's Fall To Grace tour, purchased in a charity auction. Boasting a sea of seating areas, including a raised section with 8 private heated cabanas and a small function space.
